endoscopy tomorrow, feeling lightheaded, burning

User Profile
I have been in bed for months due to feeling lightheaded, burning in my to cut, mouth and throat, belching, pain on right side about the belly button. I also have extreme salivation and feel pressure on my chest, my heart races constantly. Does this all sound like GERD? My gastroenterologist believes it is GERD and is going to perform an endoscopy tomorrow. I am on Carafate, Pantoprazole and take Tums but no relief. Feel like I am just existing, no longer living.

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and i understand your concern. Yes it is GERD and you lying in bed for months has worsened it. Lose it, lose weight exercise, adapt good diet and lifestyle habits to get this managed. take some antivert for dizziness.

I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
