Elevated D-Dimer could a recent tattoo cause elevated levels

I went to the ER the other night with chest pain. My cardiac test were ok. My D dimer in my blood was what they called at a critical level. After a VQ Scan and stress test were normal I was released from the hospital. I was wondering could a recent tattoo cause elevated levels?

A tattoo doesn't really effect anything in your blood unless the tattoo is very fresh. If you've just recently got it. It one of the reasons you aren't allowed to donate blood the first 6 months after getting a tattoo. But even then it probably wouldn't effect it.
