Welcome to ehealthforum.
The most common cause for PCOS is insulin resistance, hence many women also respond with having ovulation when put on treatment with insulin modifiers. If she has been diagnosed to have PCOS, she should consider discussing with her doctor/gynecologist to be put on regular on insulin modifiers along with the hormonal contraceptives for better control of PCOS and for regularization of periods and getting pregnant. She should take adequate rest. She should drink plenty of water. She should be in regular monitoring and follow-up with her treating doctor/gynecologist and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately. She should incorporate exercises in daily routine to promote weight loss (to be in ideal weight for height range). She should maintain low fat and low carb diet.
Take care.
