I got my helix not even a week ago, maybe days only and my ear is swollen. The piercer gave me diamond studs and they felt really tight so I've loosened them for now so that they can breathe a bit but I kept an earring from the other times I got my helix pierced and was wondering... Should I go switch my earring? So that it's loose and won't get infected? I ordered H2Ocean so i'm looking foward to using that and maybe it'll take away the swelling and redness

It is a common side effect after procedures like ear piercing, to have some form of inflammation or infection of the site.

Use of topical antibiotics (triple antibiotic) cream and anti-inflammatory agents would help in early resolution of the symptoms.
