I got my ears pierced at Claire's two weeks ago and this morning I woke up to find the area around my peircing red and swollen and tender. I show my mum and she said I probably knocked it in my sleep. Yesterday this happened to my other ear but not as bad cuz it went away in the afternoon. It still is here and it's like midnight. I just tried twisting the back of the earring to see if it helped but now my ear really stings and hurts and it's worse what do I do ??? Thanks x

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and i understand your concern. Take some pain killer and some topical antibiotic over it and wait and observe, if the piercing area gets infected then get the piercing out till full recovery.

I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
