Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum.
Altered bleeding pattern and frequency could suggest serious issues. The dark color of blood could signify ovarian cysts or other hormonal problems. Do not ignore your symptoms. Get yourself examined and evaluated by a gynecologist (not regular family doctor) and go ahead with tests like hormonal levels analysis (LH, FSH, Thyroid hormone levels) and ultrasound scan to look for the underlying cause and starting appropriate treatment.
Take care.
