Welcome to ehealthforum,
The medications prescribed to you are to help you regulate periods and correct PCOS. The symptoms of PCOS are better controlled with insulin modifiers (as the most common cause is insulin resistance). Hormonal contraceptive pills are generally prescribed to correct the irregular menstrual cycles due to PCOS. If your menstrual cycles are regular, you may not need to use hormonal contraceptives (unless you want to be on them for birth control purposes). Discuss with your treating doctor/gynecologist about getting started on insulin modifiers to help you control your symptoms better. Be in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor/gynecologist and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately. Drink plenty of water. Take adequate rest. Maintain healthy diet and lifestyle.
Take care.

Hi, if you have irregular periods since last 2 years I like to suggest sonography for abdomen to rule out PCOD. Generally PCOD is assisted with irregular menses ,abnormal facial hair growth with obesity. Is there any other health problem like hypothyroidism, diabetes? Hormonal problem can delay pregnancy so consult your doctor. Duphastone tablet will starts your regular cycles, wait for 5 to 7 days or consult your doctor.
