PCOD AND WEIGHT ?
Hi Dr,
I got married in Jan 2007.We do not have a baby yet. I was diagnosed with PCOD 3 yrs back in 2008. Irregular periods was seen ( 3 months to 4 months continuosly without periods)and sometimes 1 onth continuos periods. I have taken Metformin( Glucophage),Clomid and Duphaston as prescribed by my Gynec accordingly. 3 months before also on Trans vaginal Ultra sound both ovaries are still Polycystic. Doctor adviced to reduce weight( My weight is 70kg, Height is 163cms. I am trying but it always is going down to only 68 max. Is weight a reason for PCOD?

You need to manage the lost kgs in a healthy way with your regular lifestyle so that you do not again gain back those lost kgs. To achieve that you need corrections to your food intake and drinking habits based on your body type and your existing daily routine keeping into account your PCOD problem which can be handled with some good counselling.
