drug interactions relative to epilepsy medications

Hello i have epilepsy and I'm treated now since 3 years with depakindepakine chrono 500mg
Now I'm training and want to inject testobolin (testosterone)
Is there any interference between valproic acid (depakine)
And testosterone injections?

Hi, and thanks for your query on eHealth forum!

There is no absolute contraindication for taking testosterone injections while on valproic acid (depakine). However, the level of testosterone may go up if you are on valproic acid. Depending on other medical parameters, the doctor treating you for epilepsy may advice you against use of testosterone injections. Please consult your treating doctor before starting any injections, medications while you are being treated for epilepsy. Hope this helps. Take care!
