Welcome to the ehealthforum and I am really glad to help you out.

One of the reasons for having delay in periods is hormonal imbalance and PCOS. PCOS is even irresponsible for causing difficulty in conceiving.
First of all try to lose some weight as it helps to improve hormone imbalances. They the other treatment option is use of contraceptive pills or progesterone pills which aids in regulating a woman’s hormones. Use of Metformin also helps.

Consult a gynecologist and get investigated for PCOS. Diagnostic tests are 2 hr GTT,serum androgen and testosterone levels,LH-FSH ratio, prolactin levels,TSH levels,17-hydroxyprogesterone levels and 3D ultrasound.

I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and regards.
