Hello,

Welcome to ehealthforum and thanks for writing

Regesterone is a hormonal preparation and used for various purpose. It is not an abortion pill so relax .If the missed periods are due to any menstrual irregularity it will help in regularising the cycle and resume the periods and in case you are pregnant it would not affect the baby.It might cause side effects as nausea,gi upset etc.

Consider doing a blood hcg test for pregnancy determination as it would give confirmatory results.Kindly be in follow up with your treating Gynaecologist.

Take care!
