Does your reflux make you cough?

Lately I’ve been coughing more than usual. Not sure if it’s lingering from a 24 hour flu type bug I had a few weeks ago or from GERD. Anybody else’s reflux make them cough?

Hello and welcome to EHF !

I went through your query and i understand your concern. GERD causes chronic cough if someone has night time acid reflex, also it causes sour throat, difficult swallowing , chest pain and laryngitis .In your case , it depends on the type of cough, productive or non-productive .If non-productive then it may be more related to allergy or productive may be your lingering flue .So decide what it is and let your family doctor to treat it for you .

Take care

I am coughing up phlegm and ears and throat tingle when I drink coffee or tea. There is a fullness feeling in my neck and throat. It's becoming very irritating. Drinking baking soda helps a whole lot.
