Do i have to wait until next month to see?

User Profile
I had sex with a girl the other night and i ejaculated in her vagina. She assured me she's on the pill and takes it religiously. She got her period the next day. Do i have to wait until next month to see if she gets her period? what are the chances she could become pregnant? I'm very worried.

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
If you were sexually active just before or while on her periods, the chances of pregnancy are nil as chances of egg being present in her system is nil at the time of menstrual period. If she was regular in taking birth control pills and if this was not her first pill pack use, then she should have the protection. Look out for development of any new symptoms if pregnancy is suspected. She should visit her doctor/gynecologist for further evaluation and assistance if she does not get her periods within 10 days of expected period dates, or if she gets abnormal bleeding. If pregnancy gets ruled out and if you are not ready for pregnancy, but intend to remain sexually active, you should consider getting her started on suitable regular birth control measures to be protected (after her periods) or be regular with her birth control use. She should be regular with birth control use as instructed. Avoid having unprotected sexual contact if you are not ready for pregnancy. She should avoid further use of emergency contraception.
Take care.
