Thank you for posing your concern. There are several different types of depression and symptoms can vary among the various types. While I am not able to diagnose medical conditions online, you may be experiencing what has been shown among people that are diagnosed with clinical depression if you have a number of the following symptoms.

Symptoms of clinical depression include negative changes in a person's outlook on life, including how they view themselves and the world around them. Feelings of poor self worth, thoughts that life is not worth living, and down or excessively sad mood lasting for longer than two weeks at a time can all be symptoms of depression. Other symptoms include changes in appetite, sleep, energy, concentration. Some people experience appetite and sleep increase, while others experience a lack of appetite and insomnia. Variations in symptoms could indicate underlying reasons for depression, such as thyroid disease.

It is important that you consult with a trusted and qualified healthcare provider for appropriate diagnosis, as there are several subtypes of depression including depression in the context of Bipolar disorder, depression with psychotic features, and depressive disorders that linger longer than several years.

Depression is a treatable illness and speaking with a trusted healthcare professional about diagnosis and treatment options may propel you towards a speedier recovery.

If you have this so you have big problem.
Depression is a rather debilitating thing. That's why people who constantly analyze themselves and their actions, trying to understand what happens to their lives, all the time feel tired. "Depression takes away a huge amount of energy, so it does not remain to solve important everyday tasks," continues Firshtein. "I always tell my patients that to experience depression is no less difficult than pushing a stone uphill."
Fatigue can also cause sleep disturbances (or changes in its structure and depth). Studies show that people with insomnia are 10 times more likely to develop deep depression.
Lack of motivation
Always a punctual colleague suddenly began to be late for meetings and do it with an enviable regularity? Perhaps this is not just a change of habits. "Many people who suffer from depression lose their motivation. This applies not only to work, but to the desire to get up in the morning and generally do something, "- warns the family psychotherapist Kat Van Kirk in an interview with Prevention.
Polar temperament
When always a calm and positive person suddenly starts to behave in the opposite way (to be nervous, angry and argue with everyone who does not agree with his point of view), this too can be a sign of depression. Why is this happening? Depression is a stress that overloads the emotional background, so that it can shift, effort or, less often, weaken the expression of emotion. In the latter case, depression obviously takes up too much energy, as a result of which a person ceases to react to any events, taking them for granted.
Change the appearance
If your loved one suddenly loses or picks up weight without rational reasons, you should think about it. In both cases, there may be eating disorders, but anorexia, bulimia and orthorhia are invariably accompanied by depressive moods. Weight fluctuations are a surprisingly common symptom of people who are depressed. This should also include non-attention to appearance: especially in those cases where a person always watched himself and tried to make a pleasant impression.
