Hi,
For the past 3 months my periods have been regualr and 28 days.
This month i was due on Sunday 28th February. On Monday I wnet to the toilet and when I wiped myself all I had was slight brown discharge, I have been feeling very dizzy and nauseous and also are having to urinate mroe often.
I have had slight cramping. I have not had the normal signs of my period showing up such as breast soreness.

When would be the best time to do a pregnancy test and also does it sound as though I am pregnant.

Many Thanks.

Hi,
Welcome to the ehealth forum. I am glad to help you out.

Pregnancy definitely needs to be ruled out in your case. For the same, the ideal time to do the urine for pregnancy test around 1 week after the missed periods.

Another test which is supposed to be more sensitive is called the AIMstrip test which can detect the HCG levels in a much lower concentration.

If the pregnancy test comes out as negative, then other cause of missed periods need to be looked into.

It can happen because of hormonal imbalance, increased stress, eating disorder, alcohol or caffeine use and medical conditions like PCOS, fibroid, polyps and endometriosis.

For diagnosing the underlying cause, I suggest consulting a gynaecologist. I sincerely hope this information helps. Take care.
