Hi, and thanks for your medical question on eHealth forum

The number of times a person masturbates depends on his mental condition at that time (happy, sad, worried etc), on his sexual needs and on the stimulation provided by his environment.

All that can be said is that masturbation is a healthy. It helps relieve sexual and mental tension, is thought to provide a good night’s sleep and maybe even prevent prostate cancer and migraine attack.

It does not lead to any disease. One needs to be careful while stimulating and not go overboard as this can cause soft tissue injury and even penile fractures. Hope this helps. Take care!
