Hello Doctor,

Iam a 61 year old woman. I recent did a CT scan of Abdomen & Pelvis.
The report says "Diffuse Pancretic Atrophy with Fatty Infiltration"
Iam a controlled diabetic and suffer from gastritis.

I wish to know the problem I have and what should I do now.

I also want to know what specialist doctor I need to consult.

Fatty replacement and atrophy of the pancreas commonly occurs in diabetic patients, particularly if they are obese. If no suspicious lesions were observed on the CT scan, then no treatment is necessary.

If you wish to follow up with a physician regarding this finding, then either a GI doctor or a surgeon with an interest in pancreatic disorders would be the most appropriate choice.
