Diet for severe muscle and tendon damage

User Profile
I have severe muscle and tendon damage around neck-shoulder intersection area on the right side and around the right elbow, due incorrect use red light therapy. Its like heat due to radiation shrunk/burnt/loosened up muscle internally. I could literally find the difference when compared to the left side of the exact same locations. Will nutritional diet rich in protein and collagen help in recovery?
