diarrea, high fever, after i drank from water falls

User Profile
Hi, I've been in Hawaii for 6 days, and have come down with something that is really unpleasant, I have diarrea, high fever, what feels like a head cold (nose is blocked) really painful bones muscles. I drank water from Manoa falls, and hiked up there bare foot which I didn't realise isn't good to do. There is a lot of things it could be, I have google a lot and hoping you can tell me what to do or what doctor to see in Hawaii for this. Thanks

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and i understand your concern. it looks like a travellers diarrhea. You ened hydration measures, electrolyte solutions, BRAT diet, antibiotics for fever, stool examination and work up, and symptomatic treatment , Aim for hydration and rest.

I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
Take care

Thanks for your reply.
Do you think it could be something more sinister like leptospirosis?
