Hello and welcome

Your concern is appreciated

Burping/Belching means expelling air from stomach through mouth. It usually happens when too much air is swallowed and the stomach distends. There are number of reasons through which excessive air can be swallowed. Some of the common everyday causes in which generally more air is swallowed are eating or drinking too quickly, drinking carbonated drinks, chewing a gum, talking and eating at the same time, drinking through a straw, anxiety and hyperventilation.

Some foods can also cause belching that include beans, lentils, broccoli, peas, onions, cabbage, cauliflower, bananas, raisins, and whole wheat bread. Besides food there are certainmedicines which can provoke belching n these include certain pain killers like naproxen, ibuprofen, and aspirin.

Apart from other stuff certain medical conditions can also cause excessive burping/belching that include Gastrooesophageal reflux disease ( GERD), Gastritis, Peptic ulcers, Lactose intolerance.

If you are belching/burping excessively It is advisable to avoid eating and drinking quickly, drinking carbonated beverages, and chewing gum if you are experiencing excessive belching. These may make the problem worse. Most of the belchings/burpings are self limiting and it is cured by simple life style modifications. However if the burping continues alway seek a medical advice and if necessary your doctor must perfom certain investigations to rule out some other problems.

From your description it seems that simplelife style modifications will be of great help to you.

hope this will be of some help to your querry

Thanks
