Hi all
. A couple of days back, I had a haircut. The barber used a blade to trim all the side edges.I don't know where the bladde is a used one or a fresh one. Yesterday I developed a few boils on the back where the hair ends. Kindly clarify.i am very much scared if I might get any disease because I am a teen.

Regards,
Ashwin

Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

There is a possibility of transmission of a number of diseases with a blade used as such if it was used prior for another person. Ideally, one should ask a barber to change the blade each time. You should report this occurrence to your local authorities and consult a doctor immediately to examine the lesions. If there is no discontinuation in skin and its an allergy alone then antihistamines can be prescribed.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks
