I am feeling quite down lately and have been for some length of time. My mood has been especially poor in the evenings and at night. I have had low testosterone issues for a long time as well as MDD diagnosis. My symptoms are in ability to maintain focus which is also why I was diagnosed with ADHD. The ADHD medicines help me focus, yet later in the day my mood is much worse when I take them. Exercise is not seeming to boost my mood very much and neither is socializing. The only ones that helped were SNRI's, but with being on stimulants for ADHD I can't tolerate those with the SNRI, so I feel hopelessly stuck in this circle of drug interactions and struggle to be able to be on multiple medicines at once such as Androgel,Focalin,Zoloft.

I used to take up to 90 mg Adderall XR a day for my chronic ADHD, yet that dose left me extremely depressed at night. Back then I had suicidal ideations and struggled to want to live with how depressed I felt.

Now I'm on 50 mg Focalin + 125 Zoloft

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and I understand your concern.
You should respond to ADHD treatment alone. I would suggest you to consult psychiatrist to evaluate you again in order to clarify your condition.
I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
Take care
