I am depressed to the core. Don't want to do anything anymore in life and that includes psychotropic medicines, diet, exercise, psychotherapy, socializing, and even waking up in the morning. I've not felt alive for probably over half a decade. My life feels as if I am just marking time until my final day comes on Earth. It is heartbreaking to feel this way as I know I am capable of feeling happiness and excitement, but the lack of those elements has bound me to this anhedonic numbness for longer than any 23 year old should have ever had to go through.

Welcome to e health forum.

You have mentioned your problems in brief, but you have not provided the cause and the trigger for the onset of your symptoms.

More information and medical history would be needed, to know how to help you deal with your situation. Since this cannot be properly achieved via a online medium, and you will need to speak in person to a caregiver or psychiatrist.

Your counselor or psychiatrist would be the right person, who can guide you how to deal with your feelings and provide prescription of medicines to help with your depression. Hence it would be recommended to consult him at the earliest.
