I'm pretty depressed. The lack of interest in most areas of life is very hard to deal with every day. I'm trying to get more active with exercise and improve my diet, but struggling to do both of those with the holiday season and limitations with finances to afford gym memberships. Treadmill at home broke down, so I am forced to exercise in frigid cold temperatures that exacerbates asthma.

I've been extremely bored despite having things to do. Most of the time, I feel hopeless in finding anything even remotely interesting to me to any degree. Even the most pleasurable experiences I used to get from video games, talking to friends, watching movies, exercising all seem ungodly boring to me and uninteresting.

I've been taking a lot of high dose methylphenidate focalin tablets for ADHD and lack of focus from college. The meds seem to exacerbate my depression to an extreme, and this lack of control of depression is not easy to handle for me.

I often feel hopeless and angry

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and i understand your concern. Your doctor should consider adding non stimulant antidepressants like wellbutrin etc. Let them decide what is best for you.

I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
