I have been feeling quite down the past few months. I noticed I've been sleeping more than usual the past few weeks. I've been experiencing some sadness, but not significant bouts of it. My sadness seems to stem from a lack of interest in my hobbies and a profound sense of boredom. I often feel so bored and so unmotivated to do anything I sometimes sleep/lay in bed for up to 14-15 hours a day. I'm not feeling suicidal or wanting to self-harm, but what I want to do more times than not is just to find things I actually can and do enjoy in life. Little success has come of this thus far, but the past couple days I started having thoughts while driving home of steering my car off the road and crashing it. This only lasted a couple days. As of last night, I was really stressed out and had several arguments with family members. Finances are poor lately, and my aunt and uncle have been in trouble with the law as well as alcoholism. How can I help cope/manage all this stress going on?

I read your question and I understand your concern.
I would suggest you to have thyroid function tests to rule out organic cause otherwise consult psychiatrist to evaluate you.
