Depression or Pregnancy hormones? cant seem to do anything

I am 17 weeks pregnant with my second child. I have a beautiful 2 year old son. I moved out of my home to come to the states at the age of 18 following my boyfriend who has a habit of looking at other women via craigslist, hookup websites, etc. Lately I have been lashing out over the smallest matters, crying for hours feeling hopeless, isolated, alone. I don't feel like doing anything, cleaning the house, making myself look good, etc. I have no family and no friends to talk to. At times, I feel like I want to run away. I have sleepless nights and when I do sleep, I do not want to wake up to face my daily activities. I am unemployed and live with my sister in law and brother in law who look down on me. I wish to work but we only have one car and my boyfriend works all day. On top of that we have no one to watch my son. I feel like my relationship is going downhill, I feel like I cant make the perfect mom. I just cant seem to do anything or want to do anything.

Welcome to ehealthforum,
Nothing is perfect in the world, so avoid taxing yourself trying to be a super mom. Also during pregnancy, many women undergo depressive symptoms and irritability, so your recent symptoms can be attributed to changes of pregnancy itself. If worried, or if your symptoms have been affecting your daily life and activities, you should consider going ahead with getting counseling and couple therapy done to help you and your family cope up with your stressful period and have a smooth pregnancy outcome. Do not ignore your symptoms. Discuss about these with your treating doctor/gynecologist involving your partner and family.
Take care.
