Welcome to ehealthforum,
Having variation of 5-10 days in your menstrual cycle is considered to be normal. For ankle swelling you should consider visiting your doctor and request to have through examination and further investigations like Doppler scan and blood work-up done to see if there is any insufficiency associated, or whether it is associated with arthritic features. Appropriate treatment options would be suggested based on your examination and investigation results. Be in regular follow-up and monitoring of your treating doctor.
Take care.
