Delayed periods, Is it that she is pregnant ?

My gf and I were just casually hugging and then we got intimate and i touched my penis area near her vaginal area but both of us had our underwears put on. 1 hour later she experienced bleeding which stopped in a few hours but now she has her periods delayed by 4 days and also she has little chest pain. We got intimate on the 8th day from her 1st day of the last period.
Is it that she is pregnant ?
Please help as i am extremely tensed and worried

The contact you described is unlikely to cause pregnancy - sperm do not travel through layers of clothing. My guess is that her period is delayed by hormone upsets caused by sexual excitement. You can run a home pregnancy test to set your mind at ease. You will become sexually active inn the next few months. Please discuss and put in place a good method of birth control.

Hello and welcome to e health forum.

FYI, Pregnancy can occur, only when ejaculation occurs within the vagina, and when the woman is within the fertile period of your cycle. This period is from day 12 to day 16 of a 28 day menstrual cycle.

In addition, Pregnancy can occur, only when ejaculation occurs within the vagina. Normally during sex, when ejaculation occurs inside the vagina, about 3 ml of semen (with upto 60 million sperms per ml) is deposited inside the vagina, and most of it is ejected (pushed deep) into the uterus, through the cervix. But only thousands of capacitated sperms enter the fallopian tube and only 300-500 reach the ovum, and only one of those sperms can fertilize the ovum.

Dry humping (sexual foreplay with cloths on), Genital rubbing or Mutual masturbation - including vaginal fingering , hugging or foreplay without involving vaginal penetration & ejaculation does not result in pregnancy.

In your case, since there was no ejaculation inside the vagina, there was no risk of pregnancy and you need not worry about pregnancy.

Her delayed or missed periods could be due to stress or anxiety related hormonal changes and not related to pregnancy. These effects are short lived and resolve on their own and no treatment is needed, you just need to relax and stop worrying that you might be pregnant.

I hope this helps.
