15 days on leave, long enough for hernia repair?

good morning:
I have a question, I have being deployed for the last several months. Before I was deployed my doctor told me that he felt small hernia. i will be on leave for about 15 days will this suffusion time for me to get repaired my hernia. because i will need to returned back
.

Yes, a hernia repair (inguinal or abdominal) is a elective procedure and just would require a maximum of 3 days of hospital stay.

If a minimal incision approach is used, a patient can return back to work within 2 weeks time.

You might consult with your doctor and since he knows more about your condition, can plan the surgery, so that you can get back to work in time.
