2 Day Period for 2 Months-Pregnancy test Negative?

My period lasted 2 days then spotting only on toilet paper when using the restroom for a day or two afterward. This is the 2nd month this has happened. Pregnancy test for the last two periods have been negative. Both months my period has been at most 6 days late...Any idea as to what is wrong? I made an appt. with my OB/GYN for next week.

Welcome to ehealthforum

Spotting and not regular periods can be due to hormonal imbalance and might require medications as contraceptives for treating. If you are reaching perimenopausal age then it can be due to that also.
Consider visiting a Gynaecologist for detailed evaluation.
