Dark brown and stringy discharge

User Profile
I was wondering what's the likelihood of getting pregnant from pre-cum or cum transferred by fingers? I haven't had sex before but I have been "messing around" with my boyfriend. Jan: no period, Feb: about a week and a half of dark brown discharge at the beginning of the month, followed by excessive white stringy discharge, Mar: stringy discharge has cleared up and I'm still waiting for a period. I've noticed for the past few days that my lower abdominal area is bloated all the time. I don't feel gassy, pain, or discomfort. It does not feel very firm to the touch and I can still suck in my tummy.
Am I pregnant? And could you please explain the discharge?

Thank you very much for your time.

Welcome to the ehealthforum. I am glad to help you out.

Although the chances of sperms being present in the precum are minimal but still the possibility of pregnancy needs to be ruled out.

Please do urine for pregnancy test and also get an ultrasound done for ruling out pregnancy. In case, it’s negative, then other causes of delayed periods need to be looked into.

It can happen because of hormonal imbalance, increased stress, eating disorder, alcohol or caffeine use and medical conditions like PCOS, fibroid, polyps and endometriosis.

The white discharge can occur during pregnancy but other causes like an infection can cause the same.

In infection, there’s usually a foul smelling discharge or itching or burning sensation in the vagina like in trichomoniasis, candidiasis etc.

For the same, you need to consult a gynecologist and get yourself physically examined. You might need further investigations for the confirmation of diagnosis.

I sincerely hope this information helps. Take care.
