Hello,

Welcome to ehealthforum

Birth control pill intake is associated with various common side effects as irregular bleeding, spotting, breakthrough bleeding, weight gain, abdominal cramping, bloating, headaches, fatigue etc. These effects usually persist for about three months as the body adjusts itself to the hormonal chnages though the bleeding may be reduced while on pill use.
If the bleeding becomes very heavy or cramps are very severe kindly visit your Healthcare Provider for evaluation.

Take Care!
