Cycle day 60, no menstrual cycle

User Profile
I'm 35, my last menstrual cycle was on May 4, 2019, and I usually have a 28-day cycle and my cycles are regular. I'm not on any type of birth control or medication. I had unprotected sex on May 26 and no sexual intercourse until June 30th. I still have not had a period yet but after intercourse on June 30, I started spotting that was watery and light pink a few hours after. My cervical mucus has been watery for the past few weeks. Pregnancy strips are negative and I have had some pregnancy symptoms for the past few weeks. I am having very light cramps in my lower pelvic area off and on. My OB/GYN doesn't consider me being late until three missed periods. What could this be and could I still be pregnant? Thanks

Hi there, le83. Based on lmp May 4th and 28 day cycles, neither of your encounters was close enough to ovulation to risk pregnancy. You were due a period around June 30th and indeed got light spotting but nothing like a period. You report watery discharge and light cramps from around the theoretical time of your June ovulation. One guess is that you have a hormone upset going on that has messed with your cycle - could be a cyst or something glandular. Along with the negative tests there is little chance you are pregnant. Why not discuss the possibilities with your ObGyn when you report in for the third missed period.
