Could I have gotten chlamydia from an already cured partner

Okay so I have this problem,a year ago I had unprotected sexual relations with a girl.It turns out just now that before we had sex she has had Chlamydia. She cured it and tested negative for all stds before having sex with me.After we stopped having sexual relations she tested herself and was negative again. My question is this:could I have contracted chlamydia even if she had already cured it.

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and i understand your concern. With STDs treated and turned negative, coitus wont bring it back if both the partners are clean.

I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
Take care
