i am suffering from cough and nasal congestion for a week, is this is a symptom of flu, because i read health article on healthcureplus.com about flu symptoms, and in the article cough is one of the symptom, so how to detect and which medicine i take to get a rid of it.

Welcome to e health forum.

Your history is suggestive of allergic rhinitis.

You can use over the counter , antihistaminics like benadryl, which can help your symptoms.

But it may help to get better prescription medications and nasal sprays, which can clear your symptoms faster and also prevent them from recurring again in the future (when used as prophylactic therapy).
