Copper IUD, Kidneys Stones during Menstruation

I got my IUD(5 year copper) four months after my first Kidney stone. I got kidney stones maybe once or twice a year for 3 and a half years. then the last year and a half I have been getting them during my period.
I just got a new IUD(Paragard 12year). I have had a month of kidney pain. During my period it was painful but now has been low grade pain. I have taken my home remedy several time vs. the once a month. Now I'm also having headaches(possible migraine, never had before). my hands are swollen, I have been increasingly moody. I'm wondering if any one else out there is getting kidney stones with menstruation (either right before, during or after)and also has a Copper IUD? Every time I have asked a doctor about kidney stones and menstruation they are not sure what to say to me. At this point throwing it out to the world and seeing what I hear back.

Welcome to ehealthforum,
Renal stones and menstrual pain are different issues. If you are having colicky pain throughout your menstrual cycle, then it could suggest other possibilities like endometriosis, ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, etc. The exact cause for the pain that you describe can only be made out after careful evaluation. Visit your doctor/gynecologist at the earliest for through evaluation to look for the exact underlying cause including visualizing techniques like laparoscopic evaluation if needed (if other imaging techniques fail to show the cause). Treatment as indicated (based on examination findings and investigations results) would be started to help you control the symptoms. Be in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor/gynecologist and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately.
Take care.
