You would like to know whether nicotine withdrawal symptoms last for a long time as well as whether there is a timeline for any of the symptoms.

Nicotine withdrawal symptoms appear after a person suddenly stops smoking cigarettes. The severity of the symptoms depends on how long you have been smoking and how many cigarettes per day you smoked.

You may try decreasing the number of cigarettes you take per day to prevent the withdrawal symptoms. You may also try to chew nicotine gums or use nicotine patches while you completely quit smoking. After the withdrawal symptoms disappear, for which there is no timeline, you may reduce the amount of the nicotine gums and nicotine patches that you use. You may consider seeing your doctor if you experience rather severe withdrawal symptoms.

Please keep in mind that I am trying to provide you with medical information here. I am not able to give you medical advice online. Please contact your doctor to learn more about treatment options.
