Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
Few women tend to experience heavy bleeding after getting started on hormonal contraceptive use. If eth bleeding is heavy, and with clots and been for more than 7-10 days, then do not ignore it. Visit your doctor/gynecologist at the earliest for thorough examination and evaluation to look for the exact underlying cause. Possibilities like anemia, hormonal imbalance, thyroid abnormalities, endometrial hyperplasia, uterine fibroids/polyps, bleeding disorders, and any vitamin deficiencies etc should be looked for and ruled out. Further treatment options can be suggested based on correlation of your symptoms with your examination findings and evaluation results. Look out for development of any new symptoms. Be in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor/gynecologist and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately. Drink plenty of water. Take adequate rest. Maintain healthy diet and lifestyle.
Take care.
