It sounds like you pulled out in time, but that is not a good method of birth control. Please buy some condoms which will also slow down your reaction. Why not explore how to give each other an orgasm before thinking of insertion. You will find out how to please each other better.

Learn about the fertile window so you know the days of the month she is not likely to get pregnant. Ovulation is 14 days before her next period. The egg is only good for one day after ovulation but sperm can lie in wait for 5 days. The ten days before her next period are pretty safe.

If her egg does get fertilized and implants in the uterus she will start feeling signs about one week before her next period. If the period is missing or light it is time to run a home pregnancy test on her urine.

Many young girls have a protective skin in the vagina called the hymen. Proper insertion involves breaking the hymen at first intercourse with some bleeding and pain. Your entire erect penis should then be able to enter. It sounds like your girlfriend already knows all about this. Next time let her be on top and she will guide you.

When you buy condoms also get vaginal spermicide that she can slip in before the action begins, providing an extra margin of safety. Remember that after you have ejaculated there are still enough sperm in your penis to cause pregnancy, so you must use a condom for re-entry.

Welcome to e health forum.

Pregnancy can occur, only when ejaculation occurs within the vagina, and when the woman is within the fertile period of your cycle. This period is from day 12 to day 16 of a 28 day menstrual cycle.

Normally during sex, when ejaculation occurs inside the vagina, about 3 ml of semen (with upto 60 million sperms per ml) is deposited inside the vagina, and most of it is ejected into the uterus, through the cervix. But only thousands of capacitated sperms enter the fallopian tube and only 300-500 reach the ovum, and only one of those sperms can fertilize the ovum.

Hence when a drop or two of semen comes into contact on the clitoris or outside the vaginal introitus - the chance of pregnancy is very rare. This is due to the fact that sperms have to travel a long distance from the external genitalia to the fallopian tubes where conception occurs.

If you have doubts if penetration actually occurred and ejaculation occurred inside the vagina, then getting a pregnancy test would be helpful to clear your doubts.

Home pregnancy urine tests are very sensitive and are around 97% accurate when done correctly. Such tests can be done at least 1 day after you have missed your monthly period (which otherwise where normally regular). If it is negative, a repeat test after 7 days of missing the period, would definitely be confirmatory.

I hope this helps.
