Concerned a may have a blood clot in my right calf

User Profile
I have this sharp pain in my right calf but only when it's touched by something, stretched, or I bend my leg. I'm concerned that it could be a blood clot as my platelet count is a bit high (around 424- 450 although my doctor won't get concerned until it's at 500 for some reason), and because I live a seditary lifestyle (I'm working to change that though). Do I have reason to be concerned? There is no swelling and no redness and I don't have a fever, but I know you don't have these things.

Welcome to e health forum.

Your symptoms do not appear to be due to any blood disorder or any clotting issues.

They most likely could be due to musculoskeletal weakness due to overuse or injury.

In most cases rest and use of supports like ace bandages over the affected areas should be very helpful. In addition over the counter topical creams like biofreeze should be helpful to relieve your symptoms.
