Hi, and thanks for your medical question on eHealth forum!

If you have been trying to conceive and you do not get your period every month, then do not take Provera as the progesterone hormone may not be the cause of your problem. The periods are delayed usually due to poor thyroid function or due to polycystic disease of the ovary. There are many other causes as well.

Hence please consult a gynecologist and try to regularize your periods. Once the cause is treated and a normal hormone balance is maintained, then you will be able to conceive. Hope this helps. Take care!
