4 months ago I had a cmc arthroplasty, a Carpaltunnel release in my palm, and a medial carpal release in my elbow on my dominant hand. Most function of my upper thumb is good but the base of my thumb hurts and I don't have movement in the cmc joint even after a cortisone injection. I'm fed up and ready to self amputate my thumb. Because I keep asking what's holding my thumb from moving and causing pain. I can't get any answers.

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and I understand your concern.
I would suggest you to have physiotherapy for it besides an additional cortisone injection.
I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
