CK Total is high. Muscle twitching

Hi, I am a teenage male and for the past 3 weeks and a half, My body started to have this strange twitching when I was about to go to bed. It started from my left arm and I panicked because it was my first time having that kind of feeling. After I panicked, I started to have some sleep starts which bothers me since my body would just jerk uncontrollably right when I was about to fall asleep. I hadn't slept for 3 days because of the sleep starts and even until now, my sleep starts still won't fade away. My mom and i went to the neurologist 4 days prior when I started having twitches and muscle pain. The neuro told me that I am fine and I just needed to get enough rest and avoid caffeine and so I followed the instructions. Days passed and my twitching is still here and I am having a lot of muscle spasms especially when I am resting. My muscles from my legs, arms, fingers would also feel week intermittently at times. Right now, I have some trouble on my breathing and I really am afraid of MS, but most esp.ALS! I am afraid to die at such a young age. Today, I had my lab test and everything came out fine except that my CK Total is quite high. Normal range indicates 38-174, mine is 191.66. I suffer from health anxiety and I really would appreciate if you are there to help me.

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and i understand your concern. These are common symptoms of anxiety . if you are concerned, you can request your doctor to run the tests like EMG and NCS and i am sure they will turn out normal. Take some anxiolytic and try to ignore these worries.

I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
Take care
