Chronic pelvic pain after hysterectomy in 2008

I am 33 and had a total LAVH for Endometriosis and to this day after 5 years from the hysterectomy date, I still have severe chronic pelvic pain that feels like the endometriosis pain I had before the surgery. My GYN is really nice and thinks that I still have endo, but I don't know what to think. So far she has increased my progesterone and assigned pelvic physical therapy. Is anyone in the same boat as me and if so, did you find relief? I am tired of going to the ER when my pain is 10/10 and getting narcotics:( they always make me sick:( any advice would be helpful! Thank you!!

What about adhesions? Sometimes they do a laproscopy to see if they can find them.

I'm sorry you're still suffering. It could very well be endo since a hysterectomy doesn't cure endo. Did your surgeon not tell you that? Adhesions could also be the culprit or part of the problem. But having more surgery to remove adhesions (adhesiolysis) can cause more adhesions.
