Hello Doctor:
I was diagnosed with chronic gastritis and GERD about a year ago.
I was administered nexium followed by controloc and dexilant (60mg)
the first 6 months. The next 6 months, I was on a daily dosage of
1X30mg dexilant capsule.I have completed the course regimen two
weeks ago and periodically am having acid reflux attacks.
Can I start a new dosage regimen of 30mg dexilant ? And what's the
duration?
Many Thanks!

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and i understand your concern. Acid reflux needs supportive care lifelong, medications is only 20 % of management. Rest is diet and lifestyle and managed 70 % of the rest. Remaining unlucky 10 % needs surgical correction. Visit our GERD health center for further guidance.
