I am experiencing a lot of fatigue and have been for several months. This week it seems that my stress has been a lot worse and most nights I've not been sleeping more than 3 hours a night. I have been feeling very hypertensive with headaches and rib pain in the left side of my body's ribs. It is worse when I try to sleep on my left side.

I also believe I have (but have never been formally diagnosed with and assessed for) costochondritis, but I have been told once that I have a lot of symptoms of it by another doctor on this site.

I am unsure if my inability to sleep is more from the stress inducing chronic fatigue over time as I seem to be unable to fall asleep easily if I'm awake over 16 hours, or if this costochondritis issue might be to blame for me being unable to fall asleep at night whenever I turn over on my left side.

But regardless, I am experiencing a lot of fatigue and the occasional left side of my body rib pain when sleeping and with the hypertension Im worried

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and i understand your concern. Your symptoms fit the description of constochondritis. Treatment and low doses of tricyclic antidepressants will help. Avoid NSAIDS in heavy doses and use them between meals for constochondritis. Take some anxiolytics like chlordiazepoxide for relief.

I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
