chances through 4 layers of clothing?

User Profile
I'm not being ignorant to sex ed or anything, just being cautious. My boyfriend and I were messing around the other day and I've been pretty nervous since. We were both fully clothed (He had on pants and underwear and I had on pants and underwear), however, when he ejaculated, a small wet spot soaked through on his pants, near my vagina. He got up and changed his pants immediately after this happened, but I'm still slightly worried. I'd rather be called an idiot for asking this than not know the answer. What are the chances of getting pregnant through 4 layers of clothing?

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
Pregnancy can result only if pre-cum or semen has come in direct contact with vagina (during genital contact or fingering). There are no studies to prove that sperms can swim through fabrics (unless it is thin and lightly woven and there is ample vaginal wetness). If you suspect direct contact with semen at any time during your sexual contact, you can consider taking emergency contraception within 48 hours of the sexual contact to prevent chances of pregnancy. Wait and watch for your next periods. If you intend to remain sexually active, consider visiting your gynecologist to get started on suitable regular birth control measures to be protected (after your periods). Be regular with birth control use as instructed. Avoid having unprotected sexual contact.
Take care.
