chances of me getting hsv 2. I had hsv 1 since I was small

User Profile
Hello, I'm well aware that there are two types of herpes hsv 1 and 2, before one week I had sexual intercose with a girl and I used condom, also I didn't have any oral sex, but after one, I felt a burning sensation and the day after I had small blisters on my lips. As I said I didn't have oral sex with her apart from kissing, so what are the chances of me getting hsv 2. I had hsv 1 since I was a small kid. ( I had a heeling sore that was a couple of weeks old) does it increases the chances of infection Thank you

Herpes and Genital Warts Answer A53601
Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
HSV 2 usually manifests as genital lesions. The symptoms that you describe could suggest possibility of HSV1 outbreak. Visit your doctor/healthcare provider for further examination evaluation clarification and assistance. Be in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor/healthcare provider and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately. Drink plenty of water. Take adequate rest. Maintain healthy diet and lifestyle.
Take care.
