Cervical scar. issues during menopause??

Hi all,

I am 45 and have never had an abnormal pap test. On my last pap test, during the exam the doctor noticed a small scar on my cervix. I had 2 c section births and never had any sexually transmitted diseases. I had the pap and it's been 3 weeks and the results are not back. I am worried sick. The doc said she wasn't too worried but would refer me to a gyne. Is this normal to develop cervical issues during menopause?? Is it normal for results to take over 3 weeks??

Glad to hear your pap is normal. I would not worry about the scar if your doctor was not concerned about it. We get all kinds of harmless bumps and lumps as we get older!

I have a follow up tomorrow to talk about it more, I am just cautious about these kinds of things. Miss- the -old- me, I agree, I really miss the old me too. Since turning 45 I am not the same person. I suffer from anxiety, mood swings, and seem to be in the doc office every other week. I feel as if I am loosing control and have a huge fear that I am dying. All of this getting worse in the last year..the joys!!!

I saw my GP yesterday, who confirmed my pap was normal, when i asked her about the scar she referred to it as more of an ulcer type thing, and that the gyne would take a look at it.I don't know, just have to wait it out i guess, but am still worried at what it could be.

So went to Gyno today, and she looked at my cervix and told me I had a narbothian cyst. Nothing to worry about. So relieved.
