Hello everyone,
Just got both the results and they are negative. Very hopeful now. Thanks for your prayers everyone. Will look for other causes too now and will keep on testing for HIV-2 also. Will go to the doctor after 2 weeks. Just have faith in God and make your precious lives worth-full by doing your bit for the mankind. Be kind to one another and help the needy. This incident has opened my eyes to the sufferings people are going through, sometimes all alone. Its time we share their burden a little by doing a little bit to help them.
Regards

I have read through some of your posts and have issues that concern me as well.

In 1992, I became ill with deep thigh pain (both), diarrhea, swollen lymph nodes, weight loss narrowing of my terminal ileum and fatigue. I was bedridden for over a year. I tested for hiv 1&2 negative at 6 and 8 months after any possible exposure.

I saw twenty doctors who could not help me. I slowly went up and down with some recovery to feeling sick over the course of 14 years.

In 2003 I became ill with loose stools and fatigue again. I had my first colonoscopy and it didn’t find evidence of Crohns. Nothing was prescribed to me. I tested for HIV 1/O/2 - negative.

In May 2012 I became ill with the same symptoms I experienced in 1992 , 2003..diarreah for a month, weight loss of 20lbs, fatigue lymph nodes 1 cm under my armpits and neck, pain in my extremities and buttocks. Tested for HIV 1/O/2 -negative

My previous hiv tests were (June 1992, July 1992, April 2003) I decided to test again in June 2012 - Labcorp HIV1/O/2 which was "non reactive". My last possible exposure was in 1991.

Also tested at the same time for EBV. Showed EBV VCA IGG >8.0 and EBV nuclear antigen >8.0 (Please see labcorp records from 6/26/ 2012)

Since September 2015, I have been feeling more fatigue pain in my legs, feet, and hands. I am practically bedridden. I am unable sleep without Xanax.

Additionally, I have had tests for HIV 1/O/2 and HIV 1 RNA Qualitative (Dec 2015), HTLV 1,2, (Dec 2015) HIV 1,2 Ag/Ab, (4th generation Apr 2016) and HIV 2 RNA (May 2016) all with negative results.

I am now down to 139lbs (30 lb loss since Sep 2015) and consuming 2100 calories a day with no relief/ gain.

I do not know what is causing my distress , but, I am terrified.

Please help!

Some say yes others no, probably nobody really knows. However I too tested 84 days from exposure and result is negative and my symptoms arent going anywhere.
Here they are in chronological order:
*red spots on chest, neck and palms
*itchy skin all around
*generalized lymphadenopathy
*dizzyness
*enlarged liver and spleen
*mild fevers
*sore throat
*white tongue

Been to GP, everything normal, except elevated monocytes. GP didnt do nothing about it. Feel for all of you who are suffering undiagnosed. Will test again 15 weeks post exposure and see what shall come out, although they say i m clear, i really dont know what to think with all this symptoms.

Stay well and healthy, hope we get diagnosis soon.

@SickAllen
I would advise you to have a Viral load test and get over this otherwise the waiting would never end.
Also what was your exposure and in which country was the exposure?
Also our symptoms do match when I was at 84 days after exposure. But I have tested negative till 12 months.

Hi scared,

i already requested viral load test but my doc said its not diagnostic tool and i simply cant get it. I m from european country and my exposure was kissing(not deep on lips, neck, all other parts of body) and touching vagina while i had cracked skin on my hands with some puerto rican girl. Doc said thats not even exposure and i didnt have any problems till i first got tested 4 weeks after exposure. Then 2 weeks after that it all started. I really dont know whats going on, now i m thinking that nurse maybe reused needle i simply dont know. How are you? Do you still have all this problems? It must be hard to suffer all this for 12 months, do you have any alternative diagnosis, i mean if it isnt HIV what is it? I see here was written a lot about HTLV. Is HTLV easier to transmit than HIV?
Again hope we all get better and forget about it, but with all this symptoms i cant do that. Also i m interested how Scared49 is doing, he had almost identical problem, is he still alive, did he get his diagnosis?

Hi Nicelescu,

sorry to hear that you have same problems, i tested 15 weeks post exposure again negative(3rd and 4th(p24) gen tests), i even tested for syphilis because od this wierd rash i have, that too came out negative. Its sad but i ve wished that my syphilis test would came back positive so i would at least know whats going on with me.Just quick quetion what week did you consider to be 6 months is it 24 weeks or 26 weeks??. I will test too till one year and in the middle time keep searching for alternative diagnosis, cuz this simply aint nothing. Stay strong and healthy.

Yeah i m too interested how is he doing, but i think he again tested negative like all of us and just has enough of this shitty living, brokenglass if you see this it would be definitely good to hear some news from you, i have found many people online who say that they converted half a year or even a whole year later, so i dont really believe all 12weeks/3months conclusive BS, be good and stay strong, broken share your experience with us whatever it is we are ready to help as we are all in same position

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed?cmd=Ret rieve&list_uids=2512827&dopt=Abstract

some may say its an old study, but do they really think that our bodies are so different today that we all seroconvert in 3 months when people in study seroconverted after 42 months, yeah tests sure got better but if there arent any antibodies they just cant pick them up

story from 2005, for all who say that tests are now better, USA was using 3rd gen tests in 2005 like we mostly use today

read through that topic, many ppl had symptoms, they tested negative and were relieved that this wasnt ARS, after sometime they learned they are HIV positive

Also there are at least two cases of nurses that seroconvesion was delayed one converted at 7 months and one at 9 months some say it was because HCV coinfection

and there are ppl who never even tested positive on HIV test but have hiv, google seronegative hiv

and that are only cases that we can find on web, what about all those ppl who dont share their testing experience....i would relly like to believe CDC statement that 97% will test positive within 3 months, but simply cant
